Oh look, there she goes again
That silly girl with pigtails in her hair
Wandering through candyfloss fields
And peppermint pebbled beaches
A heart shaped balloon tied around her wrist
Deely boppers shuddering as she hops
Banging her pan with a wooden spoon
stolen from the pantry
of her Grandmother’s house.
The caterpillar trailing and flailing beside her
She only stops to hitch up her wellingtons
Before running into the sea
There goes that girl again
Still believing she can be a mermaid
