Dream catchers, also known as fortune tellers or cootie catchers, are paper toys my mom taught me how to make. It is easy to make and also quite simple-all you need is one sheet of square paper and a few pens.
Step 1: Fold the four corners of the square into the center. You might want to fold the paper in half vertically and horizontally first, then the two creases will meet in the center.
Step 2: Flip the paper over and fold the four corners into the center again.
Step 3: Fold it vertically and horizontally.
Step 4: Push the corners in while slipping your fingers under the flaps.
Congratulations, you now have a dreamcatcher! Flatten it out and start decorating.
