I’m that busy girl with places to be and things to do. From sun up to sun down, I always find myself occupied with stuff to do, places to be, and just always on the go. I’m always looking ahead to the future– the next due date, the next shift I’m scheduled to work, the next, next, next. But am I ever just living in the present? Not as often as I wish I did. I spent the past four years of high school wishing those years away. I couldn’t wait to get out of high school and just move on with my life already.
But, some significant teachers and friends in my life have reminded me (many times) that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side and I can’t always live my life chasing the next “stop” in life.
Life is a journey, not a destination. -Ralph Waldo Emerson
